Wheatgrass Healing Tips
Wheatgrass has remarkable healing properties, many examples of which can be found on this website. I believe these effects are most likely due to the influence of wheatgrass bioactives on gene expression.

Wheatgrass heals (Introduction)
Contrary to popular opinion, wheatgrass does improve your state of health but not because of its nutritional content. Also, chlorophyll neither carries oxygen nor cleanses your liver. It is a plant pigment responsible for oxygen production, but it does nothing to make you feel better or live longer!
There is something much more important in this simple herb that facilitates recovery for many conditions. In this blog I am going to be writing about the many ways that wheatgrass can help you, your family and friends, and even your doctor if he or she is prepared to listen to your testimony about how wheatgrass helped you.
Although there are numerous ways wheatgrass can improve your quality of life, it is of course no panacea. However, there are many ways it can help heal or improve conditions where pharmaceuticals and other remedies don't work. Also, by taking wheatgrass in any form, fresh juice, tablets, powder or liquid supplements and persevering with it, you can be almost certain you will do a lot for your general health and wellbeing.
It appears that wheatgrass works by activating growth factors that have a powerful effect at the cell membrane. What results is a broad spectrum of physiological and biochemical effects that can boost your immune system, stimulate your bone marrow (blood production), and kill cancer cells (at least in laboratory studies). Taking wheatgrass can also reduce the side effects of chemotherapy
The topical effects of wheatgrass can be equally amazing. For instance, in eczema, psoriasis, molluscum contagiosum and anal fissure. Wheatgrass is also about to revolutionise wound and ulcer treatment. Non or slow healing leg ulcers, e.g. venous, arterial, diabetic, can all heal or be helped to heal naturally with wheatgrass.
Recently I visited India where we are conducting a clinical trial using wheatgrass extract for healing ulcers in leprosy patients. Other than surgery, nothing has ever been found to heal these ulcers. Almost 100% of the ulcers we're treating are healing and some have already healed. Because there are still many leprosy sufferers around the world, this constitutes an important medical breakthrough, particularly when you consider that some of these ulcers have been there for more than 30 years.
Other topical uses include reduced skin toxicity (pain, inflammation and blistering) in cancer and other patients having radiotherapy and effective treatment of burns.
Another major area of bioactivity is soft tissue injury recovery. Traumatic bleeding into the deep and superficial tissues is the major cause of prolonged recovery. Because wheatgrass penetrates the skin and deep tissues and stops bleeding, recovery rates can be remarkably accelerated.
There are numerous other conditions I will be talking about here in due course. I welcome your comments and suggestions. You can also post on our Wheatgrass Forums.
